Anti-Catálogo Expor a Escola

Being presented with the challenge to develop an anti catalogue for the exhibition “Expor a Escola - nos 75 anos da fundação da Escola Superior de Belas-Artes do Porto”, held at FBAUP’s Pavilion of Exhibitions from 17th February to 3rd May, 2025, the project expands and allows a different reading of the exhibition itself.

Taking into account the original design by Ana Leite developed for the exhibition, and the curatorship of the catalogues displayed by Luís Pinto Nunes, the book categorizes and presents them visually in a roof-like display, much like the wooden supports that originally held them in the exhibition. They are also sequenced by year and group of events that occurred over the last 75 years at FBAUP.

Finally, to serve its purpose of display object, the book is accompanied by a wooden support, which allows it to be displayed in a roof-like position, reinforcing the idea of a house - much like the way FBAUP has been to its students over these 75 years presented in the exhibition.
