Biography
The photobook "Biography" is a collection of various photographs of unknown people, gathered from an online image bank, which were grouped together to create a coherent narrative that could represent a family photo album over time, rather than just a collection of images of strangers.
Formally, since the images are records of the past, the entire object is visually monochromatic in order to maintain a consistent connection throughout the pages. Additionally, the book was constructed with Japanese binding, which enhances the intimate and familiar tone of handmade work.
The composition is simple, being the main focus the creation of contrasts through the tones and textures of the visual elements themselves, generating a cinematic and dynamic feel, even though the photographs are static records from other times.
Finally, the book includes an augmented reality component, initiated by scanning the QR Code on its cover, which extends and enhances the interpretation of the object through an audio record that vaguely narrates a message alluding to memory and connection with past moments.
