Ciclone
For this project, seven chapters were selected from the book “Ciclone – diário de uma montanha-russa”, with the purpose of adapting their texts to a digital format (website), developed in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. The story was, therefore, worked on in a dynamic, interactive and playful way, both in a desktop and mobile format, maintaining the language and coherence between both.
This narrative assembles the diaries of different people in different times, with a roller coaster named Ciclone as their transversal point. On that account, one of the main objectives of this project was to create a cohesive object, with visual unity but, at the same time, highlight the identity and expressiveness of each character. To achieve this, each of them was worked on with a different colour and typography, on a distinct page. Additionally, care was taken to develop the composition in a way that mirrors the aesthetic and message that each character describes.
However, all these narratives were integrated into a diary format, where the date/title appears at the top and the respective signature of each character at the bottom of the page. It is also important to highlight that they all provide access to an initial page where the three characters coexist, allowing the user to choose which diary they want to read next.
In addition, the website was explored in a dynamic way, urging the reader to interact directly with elements of the story that richly reflect the narratives, and therefore, in a more engaging way for the user.
