Echoes of Antiquity

This project is the response to the theme "design after design," which questioned what happens after the conception and production phase of an object, and how the aging and disappearance of design would occur.

Thus, "Echoes of Antiquity" appears as a photobook/catalog, with a format similar to A3, in which the current contexts shown in museums for objects designed, produced, and used in the past, specifically in Ancient Times, are analysed. Visually, it follows a simple color palette, but it lets the empty spaces of objects occupying certain contexts, which were cut out from the first half of the book and cataloged at the end, stand out.

This way, there is a dialogue between the past and the present through the use of negative space, in which the context is removed from the previously produced objects, now observed and "glorified" in museum spaces. The book was constructed to exhibit a handmade feel to it, following the defined line of thought for the addressed theme.
