How do you sense it?
In order to create an artifact that could include the representation of the body and mind, specifically those of the user, the project "How do you sense it?" was developed using the support of a mirror, creating a position not only of observation but also of reflection and interaction with the object.
The project aimed to create a direct connection with the user and reinforce the importance of their personal experience, that is, a somaesthetic dimension. As a complement and to achieve this, augmented reality was used as a method to represent the sensations and feelings experienced before and after completing a series of physical exercises. Thus, after scanning the QR Code on the mirror's surface, the interaction begins with a quote, followed by the visual representation of the experience felt "BEFORE" – with three black-and-white textures of straight lines/faces – and, finally, the experienced results "AFTER" – represented with curved objects and fluid shapes in warm and purplish tones.
The change between each texture occurs when the user says "this way" in response to the artifact's question "how do you sense it?", and the shift between each phase happens with a touch on the screen, interactions designed and presented to be ergonomic and functional, following the type of narrative developed.
The project thus focuses on empathy and emotional design, as it validates, includes, and reinforces the different possible outcomes obtained by different users when performing the same exercise.
